Fewer hurdles for SAT accommodations for students with disabilities

School counsellors will have a lot to celebrate on Jan. 1, 2017. College Board has simplified the way counsellors can request accommodations for the SAT.

Instead of completing endless forms, school testing coordinators will only need to answer two questions:

  • Is the requested accommodation in the student’s plan?

and

  • Has the student used the accommodations for school testing?

An answer of “yes” to both questions will mean students will likely be approved for most accommodations on College Board exams.
