Google Classroom
To set up a new tutor in the system:
- Go to Google Classroom.
- Under “People”, select Invite teachers.
- Enter tutor’s email address, then select Invite.
To set up a student in the system:
- Go to Google Classroom.
- Under “People”, select Invite students.
- Enter student’s email address, then select Invite.
- Go to ACT Academy. You do not need to sign up for an ACT Academy account.
- Under “Resource Library”, select the resource you want to share to Google Classroom. You can choose options from Resource Type or Subject to refine your search.
- Select Google Classroom.
- Under “Choose class”, select ACT.
- Under “Choose action”, choose from one of the four action types, then select Go.
- Add title and description of the material, then select Assign or Post. You can also customize points, due date and topic for the material.
Note
Resources with Premium tag are not available as ACT Academy is “indefinitely suspending the Premium program as of June 30, 2020.”
To view, edit or delete a material in Google Classroom:
- Go to Google Classroom.
- Under “Classwork”, select the material you want to view. You may edit or delete ONLY with a supervisor's permission.
- To edit or delete the material, click on the three dots (more options).
