Google Classroom and ACT Academy

To set up a new tutor in the system:

  • Go to ACT Google Classroom. You might need to sign into your YSB Google account.
  • Under “People”, select Invite teachers.
  • Enter tutor’s email address, then select Invite.

To set up a student in the system:

  • Go to ACT Google Classroom. You might need to sign into your YSB Google account.
  • Under “People”, select Invite students.
  • Enter student’s email address, then select Invite.

To link the Google Classroom to ACT Academy:

  • Go to ACT Academy. You do not need to sign up for an ACT Academy account.
  • Under “Resource Library”, select the resource you want to share to Google Classroom. You can choose options from Resource Type or Subject to refine your search.
  • Select Google Classroom.
  • Under “Choose class”, select ACT.
  • Under “Choose action”, choose from one of the four action types, then select Go.
  • Add title and description of the material, then select Assign or Post. You can also customize points, due date and topic for the material.

To view, edit or delete a material in Google Classroom:

  • Go to ACT Google Classroom. You might need to sign into your YSB Google account.
  • Under “Classwork”, select the material you want to view, edit or delete.
  • To edit or delete the material, click on the three dots (more options).
