The Upper Level SSAT is given to children in grades 8 through 11 who are applying for admission to grades 9 through 12.
The ISEE is administered for grades 2,3 and 4 (primary level); 5 and 6 (lower level); 7 and 8 (middle level); and 9 through 12 (upper level).
